Acherontas or ΑΧΕΡΟΝΤΑΣ, released its occult and ritualist new album showing an ominous, complex, and transcendental Hellenic Black Metal following their own tradition and the excellence of its country in 7 tracks clocking in at 46 minutes of blistering and venomous metal from hell!

First track – The Eleventh Inversion – Oracles of the Abyss – starts the massacre with oppressive and storming sound tormenting the eardrums of infidels with sulfurous solos and marked by the most traditional vocalizations, resembling Swedish bands (like Marduk and Dark Funeral) but played with blasphemous intent and lush production. The following track – Serpent’s Oath – Hymns of the Coiled Void – just proves the aforementioned assertion with über traditional approach to their captivating infernal metal with hallucinatory riffs and a vortex of speed right into one’s brain.

Venomous Ascension – The Nexus of the Void shows an absconded melody muffed below the volcanic and flickering Black married with fast pace but the arcadian riffs call for a mid-tempo lamentation and subsequently a seamless return to form!

Noisome and sibylline comes the fourth attack, the stygian track named The Chalice of Fiery Transmutation, transporting the listener to a lemurian portal and with a mystagogic solo that flows into some heavy and tempestuous finale. 

The storm-laden malediction of the plutonian fifth track The Crimson Litany of Eternal Return continues the noctivagant assault with no end in sight, firing pure hateful sensorial ambush making this fey force invade the minds of the uninitiated in the culto of true black metal inferno!

The penultimate The Elder Keybearer’s Awakening brings more fulgurous insanity in a dark strike of riffs and pummeling drums in a catacombic and Tartarian fashion that will leave the miscreants in the very acherontic metal in awe! Die already!

Closer called Truth is a Pathless Land won’t let you down with catoptromantic and caliginous sound with narrated element in the backdrop like an apocryphal rite of eidolic origin that is not subpar to the sounds presented so far in the disc.

This new album of Acherontas brings experience to the table, with an opulent production that leaves the competitors eating dust. It must be good to have its own hypogeal mark.
